What is Start Point

The Start point block shows where your Story begins. It’s a trigger point that can’t be edited. You can add any action or interaction to this block.

To help you start your manual bot creation, we’ve already added a default Bot response and a fallback interaction after the Start point. You can remove and edit them the way you want.

If you create your bot automatically by scanning your knowledge source, you will see more than this setup. This will show only if you choose the “Blank Bot” option during the configuration.

• Bot response is a message your chatbot sends to the user. If you want the user to initiate the chat, remove this block. Instead, put the User input block after the Start point.

• Default fallback lets you either display a dedicated bot’s message or trigger an action in case your chatbot doesn’t recognize the user input. As with the Start point block, Default fallback is just a trigger point that can’t be edited.
